So fine, here it goes (even though I think I'm done with blogging after this).

Naomi was born July 10th, and is just so adorable. She weighed 5 pounds 9 ounces, and measured 19 1/2 inches. She was a little over 3 weeks early, but healthy and fully developed. She is now 2 months (10 weeks) and growing like a week. She now weighs 9 pounds 9 ounces and measured 21 1/2 inches. She has the most beautiful smile and loves to be talked to.

I love being a mom, and the Cowboy loves being a dad. We think that she is just so precious and enjoy every moment that we have with her.

As of today we have 8 weeks left until the due date. Now is the time that I am focused on all the things that I have to make sure are ready for her arrival, especially if she happens to come early. Even then, I don't think we will be fully prepared with everything. Of course I don't think we will personally ever be READY, but most definately excited and anxious.

We had a great weekend. We went to Wyoming with my mom and John for my nieces baptisms. We didn't take our camera, so we don't have any pictures to post. Anyway, she was baptized at Martin's Cove. I was the only one that had never been there, and I was so excited to finally go. The only downfall, is that it was cloudy and threatening to rain, and very windy and chilly. So I didn't get to walk around and explore, which I was planning. Oh well, there's always another trip. The baptism was cool. The water was frigid, which was fun to watch from the side lines. But there is nothing more wonderful than witnessing an ordinance. You can't help but feel the spirit and be filled with gratitude for the gospel.

I probably shouldn't have even started a blog because I am not so good at keeping it up to date, and endulging others on the personals of my life. But it is a good way for family to see some of the things that are happening in my neck of the woods. Which is the whole reason I started blogging.

Our bun has 11 more weeks to cook, then we will be able to enjoy her fully. We are so excited, and a little nervous. Time is moving a lot quicker than I think I am ready for, but I hear those are natural feelings. All I can tell you is that I love being pregnant and am so very excited to finally reach the time we have been waiting for, her arrival.

I also am so blessed to have such a wonderful husband. The Cowboy is so patient with me, and loves me so very much and so unconditionally. How did I get so lucky, and why am I the one that is so blessed? Nonetheless, I am grateful. I get sad to think that there are people out there who don't get to experience the love that we have for each other. But am so relieved for those who do. There is nothing more wonderful than having a companion that you are so in love with and so utterly happy with. Additionally, to have that companion feel the same about you. WOW! It is heaven.

Anyway, that is pretty much it for now.

Alien Invation

I have been feeling Gomer move for awhile now, and the last week or two she has been moving enough that The Cowboy has been able to feel her move as well. I love that he is able to feel her, and he loves feeling her move. What I thought was pretty cool was this morning I saw her roll and kicking. It reminds me of those movies about alien invations and alien offspring developing in human bodies. It is such a miracle to have a child. It is also very strange to think that I have a human inside my body. I must say that I am enjoying being pregnant. However, I can also say that I DON'T like the hormones. I don't enjoy being emotional, especially over nothing. I also don't like thinking that everything is fine one minute, and then ornery the next.

I have to thank my wonderful husband. The Cowboy is SO wonderful to me and so patient with me. I would probably be done with me by now, but he keeps falling more in love with me everyday. Yesterday I was in shock from finding out the gender of our baby. I have pretty much gone through this same shock for all the major moments of this pregnancy thus far. I was in shock when we found out I was pregnant. I was in shock for the first appointment, the first heartbeat, the first ultrasound, and of course this. It just makes it all so real.

So today, with the shock worn off, I am SO EXCITED. I am overwhelmed with love and anxiety for Naomi to finally arrive. I know, I know, I still have a ways to go. But I just want to look at her, hold her, and kiss her beautiful face. What a miracle it is to have a child and to be a mother and father. The Cowboy is so excited as well. He can't stop talking about her and smiling.

To think, our mothers and fathers felt this way about us. Isn't Heavenly Father wonderful!

Gomer update

Today was our 20 week appointment and ultrasound. The ultrasound was exciting and detailed. Its been determined that we are having a girl. The first image of our little angel was her sucking her thumb. My mom found this hillarious, considering the moment I was born my thumb went straight to my mouth. Like mother like daughter I guess. We are going to name her Naomi Erin, and are so excited for her to get here.

We do have ultrasound pictures, but won't be able to post them until we can scan them onto a computer. So yes, April, this one is for you. I am not good at updating our blog because I feel I have to have something entertaining to talk about, or that something extra spectacular has to happen for me to write about. Even if something does happen, I am most likely to just let it pass by without saying a word. So I will attempt to improve, even if it means that our blog gets so boring nobody reads it anymore.

FYI: I am still pregnant. Thats always a good thing, at least at this stage in the game. We should find out the gender next week. We are so exciting. We have no hopes or expectations on the sex of our baby, other than we are just ready to finally find out already! This is a future post that I won't let slip by.

The Cowboy and I are pretty much just enjoying each day that comes our way and counting our blessings as we go. The Lord has been very good to us and continues to bless us each day. So we are well and have nothing to complain about.

Thanks for tuning in. Honestly I was a little nervous, but Cowboy was immediately excited. Of course I am excited, but it was after the initial shock wore off. So look out world, there is going to be another hooligan out there to cause havic on mankind.

Since we don't know the gender of our little tike, we have chosen a fital name as Gomer (which might stick for the blog).

Our first appointment is January 15th. There really isn't anything to say about the happenings in our lives. My job was seasonal and just ended Friday, so I have spent this week home. I have loved it. I wish I could stay home all the time and get other things done around our place that get neglected when we both work. But this dream is short lived. I am on the lookout for another job and do hope something comes soon. One day I'll have reason to stay home and hopefully we can afford it.

We really love our nursery class at church. The Cowboy just adores the children and they love him. Several of the kids just follow him around, or have to show him everything that they are doing or have done. He is so good to them. I have one girl that follows me around. As soon as she walks through the door she is at my side. She is so adorable and I wish that I could bring her home with me.

Now that the holidays are coming up we are having to figure out how we are going to spend our time between the families. Its a little more difficult than I thought it would be. However, so far its still not that bad since we live close enough to spend the holidays with both families. I know, such trivial things. Yet, this is pretty much it that is happening in our lives right now.

Until next update....

LUCKY ME

I want everyone to know what a WONDERFUL husband I have. The Cowboy is such a blessing in my life, and I am so grateful for him. Not only does he amaze me while riding away on his horse in the sunset. Thanks Aerial for being a "stick in the mud". I needed the correction. Therefore, I will share with you the most exciting things TOG and The Cowboy are experiencing at this time (keeping in mind this is a family blog :) ). The most exciting is that TODAY is my (TOG) birthday! The world was blest when this screaming baby immerged from her mother's womb 29 years ago. And I must say that it has never been the same since. Second and final excitement in our lives at this time, is that we finally got our vaccum this weekend! Halleluha! We have a clean floor now. So as you can see, it is never ending fun the life of this couple.

I big you a fond farewell until next blogging post, with the fulfillment of my tag from my Jolly Roger sister. BEAUTIFUL! This was my second time being there (the first time being approx. ten years ago). The Cowboy goes there at least once a year so he is quite familiar with the area. We had SO much fun. I am just so excited to be married. It's better than what I thought it would be like. Which shocks me that I feel this way already. The Cowboy is so good to me though, and I couldn't be happier.
